LACLEDE COUNTY, Mo. -- An earthquake registering 2.8 on the Richter scale rumbled in Laclede County Thursday morning.
According to the United States Geological Survey, the quake hit at 2:47 a.m. about three miles east of Phillipsburg, Mo.
The earthquake’s epicenter was confirmed near Route C and Nexus Drive, four kilometers underground.
At the time of the earthquake a thunderstorm also rolled through the area.
Laclede County Emergency Management confirmed receiving several telephone calls from residents but said there had been no reports of damage or injury as of Friday afternoon.
