The Rapture is the Blessed Hope amongst Christians (Click Here to learn more about our view of the Rapture). After it occurs those who are left behind will be in a state of confusion and sorrow, they will be searching for answers. There are those who may call it the Vanishings, the disappearances or one of many other names, but you will know that millions of people vanished in the twinkling of an eye. There will be those that try to concoct many different stories of what occurred. It may be alien abductions, some freak nuclear accident or they may even say it was God removing "evil" from the world. Be mindful, it was not one of those things, it was what Christians call the Rapture. In < 1 Thess 4:13-18> >, <John 14:3> and <1 Cor 15:51-58> it can be seen what has occurred, the Lord himself has returned for his Church.
If you are reading this prior to the Rapture take care to "answer the door". Christ is knocking on the door to your heart, the Word of God is whispering to you, calling you to salvation. You need only to answer and open the door, your eternal soul depends on it. God gave us the ability to choose. It's up to you whether you choose to accept His grace and the eternal life paid for by Jesus Christ or to reject Him and receive eternal damnation. Search your heart and choose. Have you asked the Lord to come into your Life?
If by chance you are reading this after the Rapture it's not too late. Be aware, all is not lost, there is still time for you. Do not give up, waste not a moment longer, ask the Lord for his forgiveness and ask Him to come into your life. During the time following the Rapture, life on planet Earth will radically change. Only those who discover and accept the truth found only in the Word of God will be saved and gain eternal life. As for those who continue to reject the Lord, well, their fate is sealed. The <7 Mystery Years> discusses what is to occur following the Rapture.
Whether you are reading this prior to or after the Rapture asking the Lord to come into your life is a task that you must do. Simply pray, ask Him for His forgiveness. The following is a recommended prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, I confess that I have sinned against heaven and in your sight and need forgiveness. Thank you for sending your Son Jesus to die on the cross for my sins, according to the Scriptures, and I thank you for raising Him from the dead. Today I ask Him to come into my heart to cleanse me from my sin and become my Lord and Savior. I give myself to you. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen!
Is that it? What do I do next?
Now that you've accepted Christ as your personal Savior, you need to...
