The following is not a normal study of bible prophecy. Instead it is a call to the men, the spiritual heads of homes, of this age, to stand fast and firm agaisnt the wiles of the Devil. It is important for us men to realize that we are to be on the frontlines in the battle between the adversary and our families. That we are the one's to sacrifice our time and personal gain for our wives and children, just like Christ died for his bride.... the church.

If some one was to describe the world today, I doubt if they would use the words slow, relaxed and carefree in the description. Throughout the last few decades modern advances have provided us with all of life’s necessities at almost the touch of a button. Needs that at one time took hours or maybe days of laborious activities, take only minutes to accomplish or receive.

It was said in the 1950’s that technology by the turn of the century would provide mankind with an almost utopia. A place of relaxation, where man no longer had to work to feed and clothe his family, but rather layback and enjoy his days. A sort of heaven on earth if you will.

Clearly, everyone here can verify that we can cook a meal in 5 minutes, send a message around the world in less than 2 minutes and even cook a pound of bacon without having to even deal with the pig. So where does that leave us?

Well you and I know clearly that the faster we can get things done, the faster people want them. The amount of work that is churned out of our offices on a day to day basis is far more than it has ever been before. We have created a world that is fast paced, fast moving, and if we don’t keep up we are all afraid of being run over. In the end - While spending all our time finding ways to make more free time, we are ending up with less free time than we ever had before.

Satan loves this scenario. For the evil one knows that no matter how pure a man’s intentions are, if he cannot find time to share his life with Christ through prayer, the word and daily devotions, then he has surely separated that man from his support line. Like a boat with no anchor, Satan knows that by cutting our anchor rope free from the Father, no matter how sturdy the boat may be built, eventually the other forces around it will dash that mighty boat on the rocks. And don’t be fooled either. The strongest rope broken, begins with a single fray, as such the rope may not break quickly, but without repair, it will fail over time.

Never before has there ever been a time better to stand and be counted for Christ. If we as men don’t find the time in our days to be in relationship with our Father in heaven, then what chance do we have against the world around us. Likewise what chance do our families have. No father reading this would allow our children to go hungry, or cold, or allow any harm come to our children if we could stop it. So how could we possibly sit back and allow Satan to attack our loved ones. Adam sat back and watched as Eve bit the apple, and he not only didn't say something to stop it.......he also took part. Now look at the mess we’re in.

One man

one mistake

all eternity.

Now that’s pressure. Imagine if one of our mistakes had such an impact on the world.

Luckily, we don’t have to do it alone. We have each other. We are the men of body of Christ's church. As such, we are the leaders of our families. We are not to sit idly by and watch... we are doers….the movers the shakers. It is our mission, our mandate to stand up and be the men God calls us to be.

This call to action goes for every Christian reading here at this website as well. Each of us have our own talents. And as Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 12:12 we – all of us – make up a complete body with the church. Each of our gifts through the power of the Holy spirit compliment each other perfectly. To use the boat analogy again, we are all boats in the harbor, and although we are all to have our separate anchors to God, we are also tied together. We weather the same storms, the same wind, the same sun, however, when Satan tries to fray our anchor rope, we still do not drift because of the ropes we have to each other.

I encourage each of us at this website to reflect on our personal relationships with Christ. I especially urge you men to break out of your molds and get more involved in other men's lives at your local church. Society tells us men that we are to be alone...that we are tough enough and that the measure of a real man is someone who can fend for themselves...no matter what

Satan's LIES!

Personally getting involved with the men in my local church has sparked a fire within me as never before and has encouraged me on many fronts. The accountability, the friendship and the strength received is a wonderful experience.

Likewise, becoming a supporter of this website, it's ministry partners and Parent ministry has also allowed my to continually be refreshed and encouraged.

No matter how busy we get we must always remember what is truly important to eternity. I myself have on many occasion used the excuse of being too busy to read my bible, or to spend quality time with the Lord. In fact that excuse has popped up far too often.

As such I am asking today that all of you throw me your ropes. Allow me to cleat your lines to my deck and hold me fast and accountable to my God.

I in turn, am honoured to, and will gladly throw you mine.

4Him,

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers. -- Psalms 1:1-4

Reporting from Baghdad -- As Shiite Muslim pilgrims made their way to a shrine in Baghdad on Sunday to mark one of the sect's most important holidays, a female suicide bomber detonated her explosives at a crowded checkpoint, killing as many as 38 people and wounding 72, police said. It was one of the capital's worst attacks in months and the second major bombing in the predominantly Shiite neighborhood of Kadhimiya in nine days. On Dec. 27, a minibus exploded, killing 24 people.     Readmore
